They have an exceptional training programme and sales support team. Senior staff are always on hand to help with sales pitches and each Business Development Manager gets help setting up appointments from their dedicated telesales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and close new business opportunities with SME businesses
  • Calculate and submit freight quotations and tenders efficiently and follow up accordingly, within the defined company format.
  • Complete sales reports, customer profile reports in accordance with the company quality procedures.
  • Ensure legislative compliance in all areas
  • Solid relationship building with internal staff and customers
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge of competition and marketplace activity, reporting back any trends or developments

The Successful Candidate:

  • Transport & Logistics / Freight forwarding sales experience is preferred
  • B2B face to face sales experience
  • A proven track record in new business sales
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the business, good persuasive and negotiation skills.
  • Hungry, passionate & dynamic
  • A full UK driving licence

The Business Development Manager Package:

Basic Salary – up to £55,000
Bonus – £20,000
£6800 Car Allowance
Phone, Laptop, iPad
20 days holiday + 1 additional day’s holiday for every year of service
Cycle to work scheme
